Showcase: MetroPlex

MetroPlex

Just a quick showcase for you guys. This has been sitting on my desk for a few months.

MetroPlex was supposed to be a community for realestate agens worldwide. I worked with the company in the beginning of summer - and over the course of a couple of iterations we worked out the main concept for the logo. Unfortunatly the client decided to end the partnership before completion.

It just proves to show that freelancing certainly has it’s complexeties. A subject for a future article perhaps? Anyways, i liked where this piece was going, and i figured that since it’s not going to be put to use in the real world - it might aswell do some good in my portfolio.

    Funky. I like the design.
Was it supposed to also have a small version? I suppose so, given the fact it’s a logo. Did you then have to redraw it to make the detail look nice?

@Peter Yes, i was working on a sub 128px version - which would have been more or less redrawn. Perhaps even simplified a bit.

The client wanted alot of detail, which will always conflict with scalability. I guess a big part of my job is taking those contrasts and make them work in all sizes.
