Launching appweek.ly

appweekly

Im glad to announce the launch of a new project i’ve been toying with lately. The site is called appweek.ly The premise is quite simple:

There’s alot of apps in the appstore. appweek.ly is dedicated to bringing you the spotlight on a single quality iPhone & iPod touch app each week.

There are several large iPhone/Touch review sites out there, but i wanted to really boil down the amount of focus to a single guaranteed-to-blow-your-pants-off™ app each week. I sometimes feel alot of responsibility subscribing to RSS feeds, due to the inane guilt of just knowing that i wont be able to keep up with the constant stream of updates. appweek.ly is all about bringing you an amount of content that the casual iPhone/Touch user can cope with and appreciate. The reviews will be brief and casual, it’s more the actual featuring of the app that will be the gesture.

We’ll be scouring the appstore for those ‘best-of-the-week’ apps so I hope you will take a sec to check it out and subscribe to the appweek.ly RSS feed and/or follow us on twitter.

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

I’ve been following the Twitter account for a while now, and it’s pretty good. It makes a change from the constant stream of apps that I often see from TUAW, Gizmodo, and Lifehacker, which is nice…plus the apps so far are actually good. :P

Nice. A site that I can actually visit for real gems. I hope to see apps from every category, not just games.

Also the fact that you include the iPod and use it correctly (Touch > iTouch) is highly appreciated and says lots about the site, can’t stand that shit.
